Photography is often quoted as one of the many reasons our clients head off on our polar voyages, and with stunning scenery, abundant wildlife and incredible soft light it’s not hard to see why. Until the end of October, an exhibition of Arctic photographs is being displayed in Canada House, just yards from Trafalgar Square in London. "The Accessible Arctic" is a fantastic showcase of images from Canadian Geographic, the Royal Canadian Geographical Association’s official magazine which this year celebrates its 80th birthday. Take the opportunity not only to examine the rapid advances in photographic technology but explore the way in which the Arctic has changed over the years, whilst still being extraordinarily beautiful. With stunning pictures of huskies, icebergs and calving glaciers, it’s impossible not be caught up in the magic of the white North – and perhaps it might whet your appetite for your own voyage to the High Arctic?
