UKTV Documentary are featuring a 'Polar Season' from 5 March 2006 for three weeks. That's another reason (aside from the stormy wet weather) to stay curled up inside with a warm mug of tea! I'm dipping in and out of their website where they have polar picture galleries, as well as polar wildlife factsheets and even an interactive polar timeline, essential for swotting up on the history of explorers efforts to conquer the extreme ends of the world.
